SL HOLDS UL TO THREE HITS, DOMINATES IN 6-0 SHUOUT IN 2032 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

The U.S. Armed Force's legendary Blue Angels fly over Jack Daniels Field after the national anthem was played to start the 2032 SIMBL All-Star Field in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Syndicate League continued their mastery of the Union League in the SIMBL All-Star Games by holding the UL bats to a measly three hits en route to a dominating 6-0 victory in the 2032 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game hosted by GM Andy Hutchinson's Lumberkings in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The three hits tie an All-Star Game record for fewest hits and the shutout was only the second in the 28 SIMBL All-Star Games held joining the first in a UL 3-0 victory in 2024.  The SL held the UL hitless going into the top of the 7th inning when Seattle's Octavio Abreu broke up the no-hitter threat with a single.

Oddly enough, Whitby's UL starter Jimmy Dietz was named game MVP throwing two innings of no-hit and no-run ball while walking and striking out one each.  Deer Lake CF Brady Underwood went two-for-three with a run scored and two RBI on two singles.

The SL jumped to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third knocking around Bristol's Sammy "The Bull" Flynn for four runs on four hits.  

With one out, Tampa Bay 2B Valentin Santos, making his third consecutive SL start at second base, was hit by a pitch by Flynn. Hawaii's six-time All-Star Kendrick Templeton reached on an error by Oregon catcher Jesse Mulhann which moved Santos to third base. Deer Lake's Brady Underwood then knocked them both in with a two-run single.  A wild pitch by Flynn moved Underwood to third base as Tampa Bay's 2030 SL MVP Julian Winfield flied out.  Tampa Bay's 2029 SL MVP Jake Boles then singled in Underwood for a 3-0 SL lead. Hawaii's Deryk Ryles then singled moving Boles to second.  Yet another Tampa Bay teammate, 1B Jake Albert, then singled in Boles for a 4-0 lead before Las Vegas catcher Micah Irwin ended the big inning with a fly out.

The SL struck again in the bottom of the 7th when Boston veteran Leonard Williamson, making his first All-Star Game appearance since the 2028 season, singled off of Whitby's former UL Hurler Of The Year Warren Lane.  Two batters later, Knoxville phenom Marcos Guerrero doubled in Williamson for a 5-0 SL lead.

Hawaii slugger Roger Marcum then put the nail in the coffin with a solo home run off of Calgary's Domingo Francisco in the bottom of the eighth inning for the final 6-0 score.

All positional players and rested pitchers played in the game as is the usual tried custom.

The SL now holds a dominating 18-10 series lead in the rivalry and has now won the past three straight SIMBL Midsummer Classics.

All SIMBL teams were represented by at least one player and all SIMBL GMs were in attendance and boasted about Knoxville's great treatment and detail to the annual SIMBL All-Star Game break extravaganza in Knoxville's Jack Daniels Field.

SL GETS PAST UL 4-2 IN 2031 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

The SIMBL's finest clown around prior to the league's 27th annual All-Star Game in New York's sold out Enforcers Field.  The SL won its second straight game after two consecutive previous losses to increase their lead in the all-time rivalry between the two leagues to 17-10.

The Syndicate League continued its supremacy over the rival Union League with a 4-2 win in the 2031 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game in New York.  The SL won their second straight Midsummer Classic over the UL to go up in the all-time series 17-10.

Whitby's J.J. Drew and Chicago's Jimmy Wagner started in place of tired voted starter SPs Calgary's Mohammed Alvarez and Las Vegas' Alan Alexander Anderson.  Wagner's two-inning performance earned him game MVP honors.

After a scoreless first two innings, the SL jumped on the UL when Tampa Bay 2B Valentin Santos drew a walk off of Drew.  One batter later, Santos' Silverbacks' teammate Akiro Hikaru then tripled off the wall to drive in Santos for a 1-0 SL lead.  After getting the second out, Drew gave up a single to Deer Lake SL MVP candidate Cody Taylor to score the speedy Hikaru to give the SL a 2-0 lead before Seattle SP Brock Vinci came in to end the inning.

Texas' former 2028 #1 overall pick of the SIMBL Draft, CF Jose Perez, singled off of San Diego's ten-time All-Star and current SIMBL New File Era career wins leader Richard Dicks Jr. Perez used his All-Star speed to steal second and third base but the future SIMBL Hall Of Famer Dicks Jr. struck out fellow future SIMBL Hall Of Famer Calgary's Colt McAlister to end the threat and inning.

The UL also put Whitby's Roy Prather on second and Toronto's Michael Lonewolf on third in the bottom of the fourth but San Diego SP Michael Martin ended the threat by striking out Westbury's five-time dual-era veteran All-Star Jonathan Lizotte.

It remained a 2-0 SL lead to the top of the sixth when Deer Lake 3B Jason Rose belted a two-run blast off of New York's Curtis Burke scoring himself and San Diego's Michael Blackwell to make it a 4-0 SL lead.

The UL threatened in the bottom of the sixth inning when Toronto's six-time All-Star Michael Lonewolf drew a walk off of Boston SP Gustave Sequin.  Bristol 1B Andrew Green then singled moving Lonewolf to third base.  The next batter, Dallas CF Joseph DeCaro, then singled off of San Diego's Tory Nash to make it a 4-1 ballgame. Seattle C J.J. Peters then singled off of Nash to load the bases.  Tampa Bay's former SL Middle Reliever Of The Year Lawrence Jordan and Rochester reliever Dale Moore then got two consecutive fielder's choices to end the only credible UL threat of the game.

The UL got a solo home run by Oregon's Bobby Papesh off of Las Vegas' seven-time All-Star closer Cedric Issacson in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut it to 4-2.

The SL's bullpen relievers of Rochester's Santiago Gonzalez, Boston's Juan Carlos Bermudez, Hawaii's Todd Newell, Asheville's Dez Jordan, Rochester's Manuel Ramirez, Knoxville's Chris Ross and Rochester's Otto Orf then held the UL hit-less the rest of the way to preserve the SL's 17th overall win in 27 All-Star contests against the UL.

San Diego's SIMBL legendary ace Richard Dicks Jr., who stands third all-time in SIMBL history with 230 wins and is five wins away from climbing into second-place, earned the game win.  Whitby's J.J Drew was charged with the loss. 

Chicago SP Jimmy Wagner, the former #1 overall pick of the 2024 SIMBL Draft and a four-time All-Star, earned game MVP honors by throwing two innings of scoreless ball allowing only one hit while striking out three to set the tone for the game in what would be the dominant SL pitching.  The UL outhit the SL 9-7 and both teams had an error each. 

All position players and non-tired pitchers played in the game.

All SIMBL GMs and representatives from all SIMBL franchises and the SIMBL League Office were in attendance and were greatly impressed by New York GM Chris Gattuso's Enforcers who hosted the game for the second time in franchise history and for the first time in 23 seasons.

SL COMES BACK AFTER 7TH INNING TO CLUB UL 8-3 IN 2030 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

The 2030 SIMBL All-Stars from both the Union League and Syndicate League clown around before the 26th annual SIMBL Midsummer Classic in Westbury, England during 2030 SIM 15.  The SL came back from a 3-0 deficit with a five-run seventh inning en route to a 8-3 win.  The SL holds a 16-10 all-time series lead over their rivals in the game pitting both league's very bests against each other.

The Syndicate League came back from a 3-0 deficit with a big five-run seventh inning to handily beat the rival Union League 8-3 in the 26th annual SIMBL All-Star Game in Westbury, England.

The game was hosted by Westbury GM and SIMBL Financial Commissioner Bill Atteberry's Cannons and was the first All-Star Game hosted outside of the United States in the SIMBL's long history of Midsummer Classics.

The UL jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of second inning when Whitby 1B Kenny Burns drew a lead-off walk off of Hawaii's Fernando Martinez who started the game in place of tired top vote-getter Alan Alexander Anderson of Las Vegas who was voted to start the game for a record fifth consecutive season.  Burns was bumped to second by teammate Roy Prather.  After being moved ahead on a ground out by Texas CF Santino DaBramo, DaBramo's teammate, C Daniel Montesanto, drove in both with a sharp single.

The UL jumped to a seemingly commanding 3-0 lead in the top of the fifth as Dallas 2B Paul Rose doubled off of Knoxville's Sean O'Neal.  Oregon's reigning UL MVP Ty Brown then promptly singled in Rose to increase the UL lead.

The SL pecked away at the lead scoring one run in the bottom of the fifth as Tampa Bay's Julian Winfield singled off of Bristol's Durante Montero and stole second base.  Reigning SL MVP and teammate Jake Boles quickly singled in Winfield to cut the UL lead to 3-1.

An inning later, the SL closed to 3-2 when Hollywood SS Francis Martineau was hit by a pitch by Texas SP Hiro Takata and then stole second base.  Rochester's game MVP CF Michael Sanders then singled in Martineau for one of his eventual 3 RBI to narrow the SL deficit.

Las Vegas stud closer Cedric Issacson, who would earn the win, then halted a UL rally by stranding runners at second and third base in the top of the 7th.  Then the SL bats awakened and their pitching rose to the occasion.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the SL broke the game open by scoring five runs on five hits to take a 7-3 lead.  Hawaii SS Gran Moulder started the inning with a single off of Bend's long-time veteran stud Luis Martinez, who was charged with the loss.  Boston SS Christopher Stevens pinch ran for Moulder and moved to second on a walk to Hawaii 3B Deryk Ryles.  Asheville 3B Billy Goodwin then singled off of Whitby's Carlos Martinez driving in Stevens to make it a tie ballgame at 3-3.

Martineau then singled off of New York's Chad Bryan to score Ryles to give the SL a 4-3 lead they would never give up.

A batter later Rochester's Sanders earned his game MVP honors by tripling in Goodwin and Martineau off of Bryan for a stunning 6-3 SL lead.  Hollywood veteran Zachery Dye then quickly singled in Sanders off of Calgary's reigning UL Middle Reliever Of The Year Bob Detty for a 7-3 lead before the rally was ended.

Knoxville 1B Nelson Nelly then wrapped up the SL win with the game's only home run, a solo shot off of New York closer Francisco Leon, in the bottom of the 8th for an 8-3 late SL comeback that turned into a trouncing.

After the initial 3-0 UL lead, the SL bullpen was outstanding in holding the UL scoreless in the final four innings. Las Vegas' MR Takahasi Yoshino, Deer Lake SP Greg Chapin, Boston MR Michael Vaughn, Asheville MR Keenan Bowen, Boston closer Juan Carlos Bermudez, Las Vegas closer Cedric Issacson, Sacramento closer John Raynor, Hollywood MR Ronald Strickland, San Diego MR Stan Pennington, Deer Lake closer Jake Jackson, Asheville MR Antonio Sanchez and Chicago closer Jimmy Kenney held the potent UL bats to five hits after the initial UL lead.

Rochester LF Michael Sanders was named the 2030 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP. The former 17th overall pick of the 2023 SIMBL Draft by Rooster GM Jamey Carter went 2 for 2 with a two-run triple and a run-scoring single, scored one run and had three RBI.

The SIMBL Front Office and all SIMBL GMs were attendance and commended Westbury GM Bill Atteberry's staff with great compliments as the Cannons held the very first SIMBL All-Star Game outside of the United States.

The second half of a very interesting 2030 season thus far has officially started with the traditional three game start after the SIMBL's Midsummer Classic.

UL PUMMELS SL 13-2 IN 25TH ANNUAL SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

New York Third Baseman Jack Skinner Named MVP In Biggest All-Star Game Rout In SIMBL History

New York third baseman Jack Skinner (above) hustles as he watches his two-run blast off of Las Vegas's Bobby Bruno leave the yard in the bottom of the third inning to help the UL to a 13-2 drubbing of their rival SL in the 25th annual SIMBL All-Star Game.  Skinner went 3-for-5 with a single, double, two-run home run and 2 RBI to earn game MVP honors in his first SIMBL All-Star Game.  The 2025 third round draft pick is in his third SIMBL season currently hitting .314 with 7 HR and 38 RBI for the defending UL champion Enforcers.

The Union League pounded the Syndicate League 13-2 in the biggest margin of defeat in SIMBL All-Star Game history in the league's 25th annual Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game Midsummer Classic hosted by Seattle GM Brandon Popper's Seawolves in 2029 SIM 15.

The UL pummeled SL Chicago ace starter Jimmy Wagner for a rare 4 earned runs on 5 hits in 1/3 of an inning in the first inning en route to a 5-0 lead.

Cleveland's Manny Foster started the bottom of the first inning with a single off of Wagner then stole second base. Toronto's Michael Lonewolf singled Foster to third base before Oregon's Ty Brown singled and scored Foster on an error on Deer Lake's Brady Underwood which moved Lonewolf to third base.  Oregon's Bobby Papesh followed with a single scoring Lonewolf.

Wagner walked Calgary's Colt McAlister on four pitches to load the bases before Dallas' Paul Rose delivered a two-run singled scoring McAlister and Papesh to give the UL a sudden 4-0 lead.

Wagner was replaced by Hawaii's Fernando Martinez who promptly gave up a single to New York's Jack Skinner and then a fielder's choice to Westbury's Timmy Barry to give the UL a surprising 5-0 lead before Martinez got Foster to fly out to finally end the bottom of the first inning.

The SL struck back in the top of the next inning when Tampa Bay's Ray Conner tripled off of Whitby's UL starter Warren Lane and Sacramento's Joe Gibbs drove in Conner with a sacrifice fly to make it a 5-1 ballgame.

The UL kept up the barrage as Oregon's Ty Brown hit a solo shot off of Deer Lake's eight-time All-Star Richard Dicks Jr. to give the UL a commanding 6-1 lead by the end of the second inning.

In the bottom of the third New York's Jack Skinner, who would be named MVP in his first SIMBL All-Star Game, hit a two-run blast off of Las Vegas' eight-time All-Star veteran Bobby Bruno to make it 8-1.

Dallas' Stephen Dawson drove in his teammate Paul Rose on a single off of Las Vegas reliever Odin Dunbar to give the UL a 9-1 lead in the bottom of the 5th inning.

The SL countered back with their final run in the top of the 7th inning when Deer Lake's Bryan Drew drove in Rochester's Michael Sanders on a fielder's choice to make it 9-2.

The UL continued the rout in the bottom of the 7th when First File-New File eras crossover star Westbury's Jonathan Lizotte blasted a solo home run off of San Diego's Marvin Baldwin to give the UL a 10-2 lead.  Whitby's Roy Prather singled in Cleveland's seven-time All-Star and SIMBL New File Era career hits leader Miguel Espinoza off of Hawaii's Todd Newell to make it 11-2.  A batter later, New York's Artie Bradley delivered a two-run single off of Las Vegas' Cedric Issacson scoring Espinoza and Seattle's Garland Wiley to make the final 13-2 margin.

The UL pitching staff held the SL to four hits, the second-lowest amount in SIMBL All-Star Game history while the 13 runs were the most scored by a winning team in the history of the 25 contests.

New York third baseman Jack Skinner was named game MVP by going 3 for 5 with a single, double and home run, one run scored and 2 RBI.  Seattle's Nico Scordos earned the win in front of his hometown fans while Wagner took the rare loss in a season in which he has thus far been outstanding and a strong candidate for the SL Hurler Of The Year Award.

The UL closed the SL's all-time series lead to 15-10 and are on a two-game winning streak over their conference rivals after a 3-2 comeback win in the 9th inning in last year's game in Bend, Oregon.

UL STUNS SL WITH NINTH INNING 3-2 COMEBACK WIN IN 2028 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Westbury's Allen Clark Triples In Eighth Inning To Ignite Rally & Doubles In Winning Run In Ninth Inning With Two Outs To Earn MVP Honors; After A Two-Run First Inning SL Bats Go Into Slumber As UL Pitchers Hold SL Batters To Four Total Hits In Entire Game

Union League All-Star teammates celebrate on Bend's Deschutes Field after coming back from one out away from a 2-1 defeat to the rival Syndicate League in the 2028 SIMBL All-Star Game.  The UL used Bend's hometown Michael Caldwell's double and a Westbury's game MVP Allen Clark double to comeback from a 2-1 deficit with two outs to stun the SL and win the game 3-2 with a ninth inning rally after their bats were stagnant and shutout the previous seven innings.  The UL scored all three of their runs in the eighth and ninth innings to close the SL's lead in the all-time series to 15-9.

The Union League offense looked dreadful for the first eight innings before coming to life in the top of the ninth for a 3-2 come from behind victory in the 2028 SIMBL All-Star Game in Bend, Oregon to snap a three-game losing streak to their Syndicate League rivals.

The SL took a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first jumping on UL starter Calgary's Hayden James who started in place of voted starter Bristol's Sammy Flynn who was tired from his last start before the break.

Tampa Bay CF Akiro Hikaru drew a lead-off walk from James and promptly stole second base.  Sacramento 3B Logan Raynes, in his fourth straight All-Star Game start, singled in Hikaru to quickly give the SL a 1-0 lead. San Diego 1B David Jackson then singled to put Raynes at second base. James struggled early before settling down and threw a wild pitch to Las Vegas CF Marc Carter before walking him to load the bases and then followed by walking Sacramento C Joe Gibbs to force in his teammate Raynes to give the SL a 2-0 lead.

Little did the SL know at the time but the two first inning singles by Raynes and Jackson would be half of their four-hit total for the entire game.

James eventually worked out of a potential bigger deficit and the jam by getting Sacramento RF Blake Stanton to fly out, striking out Knoxville DH Sean Garrett and then getting Hawaii SS Gran Moulder to ground out to snuff out the threat.

Deer Lake SP Vinny Corleone, in his 9th SIMBL All-Star Game, started for the SL in place of voted starter Las Vegas' Alan Alexander Anderson who was voted to start for the third consecutive time in his seventh overall appearance.  Corleone and a variety of SL and UL pitchers kept the score 2-0 until the top of the eighth inning. 

2028 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP Westbury RF Allen Clark, in his first All-Star Game, tripled to start the inning off of Las Vegas reliever Patrick Donovan.  Clark scored two batters later when New York 1B Artie Bradley grounded out off of veteran Knoxville reliever Trent Murphy to make it 2-1.  New York C Adam Wilson then singled off of Asheville's two-time SL Fireman Of The Year and one-time SL Middle Reliever Of The Year Dez Jordan to make it interesting before Chicago reliever Roger Lewis ended the UL threat by getting Cleveland's Manny Foster to fly out.

Cleveland closer Steven Pfleuger, Westbury reliever Chet Fisher and Bristol SP Broderick Stewart retired the SL in order in the bottom of the eight inning to set up the UL theatrics to come.

With the UL down 2-1 in the top of the ninth inning, Rochester veteran reliever Earl Long got the first leadoff out by getting New York 2B Kyle Hunter to fly out.  Two outs away from defeat, the UL offense awakened.  Las Vegas closer Cedric Issacson walked Whitby's Roy Prather who stole second base before Chicago's Jimmy Kenney struck out Dallas 3B Kevin Cox to put the SL one out away from a narrow victory.

Knoxville stud closer Chris Ross entered the game to earn the save but gave up a double off the wall to veteran Bend SS Michael Caldwell to stunningly tie the game suddenly at 2-2 with two outs in the top of the ninth inning.

Enter another long-time veteran SIMBL reliever Rochester's Cory Walton who then faced Westbury's Allen Clark who earlier tripled in the eighth inning to ignite the UL's first run in eight innings.  Clark feasted on a 2-1 Walton fastball doubling in Caldwell to give the UL a 3-2 lead before Boston's Juan Carlos Bermudez got Calgary's dangerous Matthew Brown to fly out to end the inning for the stunned SL squad who moments earlier were an out away from the win.

The SL did not go down without a fight as San Diego's reigning SL Rookie Of The Year Michael Blackwell singled to start the bottom of the ninth before Seattle's Patrick Donovan got Knoxville's Nelson Nelly to ground out moving Blackwell and the tying run to second base with one out.

New York reliever Clarence Foster then struck out Boston SS Scott Morgan and Bristol's SIMBL New File Era career saves leader Barrett Jenkins did his job by getting the former #1 overall pick of the 2024 SIMBL Draft, Hawaii's Derek Ryles, to fly out to center to leave the tying run aboard and give the UL the improbable victory in front of 40,000+ in Bend's Deschutes Field.

Westbury's Allen Clark was voted the game MVP with a triple in the eighth inning and a double in the ninth inning in what turned out to be the game-winner.

The UL closes the gap in the all-time series to 15-9.  It was the sixth time in the past eight SIMBL Midsummer Classics that the losing team was held to two runs or less.

SL CONTINUES MASTERY OF UL WITH 4-2 WIN IN 2027 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Tampa Bay centerfielder Clint Wilson (above right) rounds the bases after hitting a home run in the top of the third inning starting a three-run SL rally which put them up to stay in a 4-2 win in the 2027 SIMBL All-Star Game.  The 26 year-old Wilson, playing in his first SIMBL All-Star Game, was named the game MVP.  Wilson is a former first round supplemental draft pick, 27th overall, in the 2023 SIMBL Draft by Silverbacks GM Tim Melican.

The Syndicate League continued its mastery over the rival Union League upping their lead to 15-8 in the all-time series with a 4-2 win in the 2027 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game hosted by GM Robert Don's Texans in Dallas.

Tampa Bay centerfielder Clint Wilson, in his first SIMBL All-Star Game, was named the game MVP going 1 for 4 with a home run off off Cleveland ace Richard Dicks Jr. in the top of the third inning.

The UL went up 1-0 early off of SL starter Sacramento ace Glenn Murphy who started in place of the tired Alan Alexander Anderson of Las Vegas.  With one out in the bottom of the first inning, Cleveland's Derek Dixon singled and promptly stole second base.  After Murphy struck out Calgary's Colt McAlister, New York's Kody Ware, having a breakout season to SIMBL superstardom, singled in Dixon before Murphy rebounded to strike out Dallas' Vince Crocker to end the threat and inning.

Tampa Bay's Clint Wilson then tied the game in the top of the third with a solo blast off of Dicks Jr.  The SL rally continued when Chicago shortstop Francisco Santos was hit by a Dicks. Jr. pitch and eventually scored on a single by Knoxville's Joe Hayes.  Teammate Taki Taketo then doubled in Hayes to give the SL a 3-1 lead that they would never relinquish.

In the bottom of the eighth inning the UL closed the gap to 3-2 when Seattle's Marc Hoskins walked and was moved to third base on a single by Whitby veteran Toby Gibson.  Hoskins then scored on a wild pitch by Hollywood reliever Corey French before Deer Lake reliever Donald Miller came in and put out the fire by getting Toronto's Michael Lonewolf to fly out.

In the top of the ninth inning the SL increased its lead to the final 4-2 on a solo home run by Tampa Bay catcher J.J. Peters who is enjoying a great season as well.

The UL threatened in the bottom of the ninth inning when Bend veteran Jeff Myers tripled to the wall off of Sacramento closer John Raynor before Asheville's former SL Middle Reliever Of The Year and Fireman Of The Year Dez Jordan came in to get Seattle's Duane Fuller to ground out for the save.

Dicks Jr. threw three innings giving up three earned runs on three hits with no walks and a strikeout and was given the loss.  Chicago veteran ace Oki Okada was credited with the win.  Sacramento's Glenn Murphy started for the SL and went three innings allowing one run on three hits with no walks and two strikeouts.

All players played in the game and all non-tired pitchers pitched in the contest as well.

All SIMBL GMs were attendance and gave rave reviews to Dallas GM Robert Don whose Texans hosted the three-day SIMBL All-Star Game activities for the first time in franchise history.

The second half of the 2027 SIMBL season has officially begun with the traditional three-game SIM after the All-Star break.

MACK'S WALK-OFF BLAST CAPS 6-4 EXTRA-INNINGS COMEBACK WIN FOR SL IN 2026 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Chicago's Turner Named MVP As His Two-Run Home Run Started Comeback From 4-0 Deficit In Bottom Of 7th Inning

San Diego veteran slugger DeShaun Mack (above right) connects on an 11th-inning two-run walk-off home run off of New York's Francisco Leon to give the Syndicate League a comeback 6-4 extra-innings win over the Union League in the 22nd annual SIMBL All-Star Game in Tampa, Florida.  The UL led 4-0 until the bottom of the 7th inning when the SL started their comeback with a two-run homer by Chicago's 2026 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP Peter Turner.  Mack, 34, was the #4 overall choice of the 2019 SIMBL New File Era Inaugural Draft by the former Boston Patriots (now Westbury Cannons) whom he played for five seasons before being traded to San Diego prior to the 2024 season.  He is a three-time All-SIMBL and five-time SIMBL All-Star.  'Diesel' is the SIMBL New File Era leader in career walks and recently became only the 8th player in SIMBL history to achieve 1000 walks in his career.  Mack is an upcoming free agent next off-season

The Syndicate League came back from a 4-0 deficit starting their rally in the bottom of the 7th inning to stun the SL 6-4 in 11 innings in the longest All-Star Game in SIMBL history. San Diego's DeShaun Mack's two-run walk-off 357-foot blast off of New York's Francisco Leon completed the comeback to put the SL up on their Union League rivals 14-8 in the all-time series. It was the only the second game to go into extra-innings in league All-Star Game history.

The 2026 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game was held in front of 44,611 frantic SIMBL fans held in GM Tim Melican's Tampa Bay Silverbacks' Cobb Field.

The top two aces in the SIMBL, Cleveland's Richard Dicks Jr. and Las Vegas' Alan Alexander Anderson, started the game and were brilliant for three innings. Dicks Jr., in his third consecutive start for the UL in the All-Star Game, threw three innings of scoreless ball allowing three hits and two walks while striking out two. Anderson also threw shutout ball allowing only one hit while sitting down five.

The game remained a scoreless tie until the top of the 6th inning when Toronto SS Michael Morgan singled off of Knoxville SP Reggie Richardson. After getting Dallas CF Lance Stanley III to fly out, Richardson gave up a 350-foot bomb to Cleveland catcher Eddie Bryant who currently stands one home run away from becoming only the 13th player in SIMBL history to amass 300 career home runs.

Richardson was replaced by Rochester's seven-time All-Star and two-time Hurler Of The Year Alberto Tovar and gave up a single to fellow seven-time All-Star Calgary 1B Colt McAlister. The next batter, Dallas' three-time UL MVP Tony Aguilar, hit a squibbler on top of the plate that Sacramento catcher Joe Gibbs grabbed and threw into center field for a huge error while attempting to nail the slow-footed McAlister for a possible double-play. McAlister ended up at third while Aguilar made it to second on the game's only error.

Bristol's 27 year-old RF Matt Kramer, one of the centerpieces acquired when the Owls traded two-time Hurler Of The Year Oki Okada to Chicago last season, then singled in both McAlister and Aguilar off of Chicago's newly-acquired SP Justin Riley to give the UL a commanding 4-0 lead.

UL pitchers held down the fort and smelled the win until the bottom of the 7th inning when the SL bats finally woke up.

Hollywood CF Jamal Wilson, the 2020 SIMBL CS MVP making his All-Star Game debut, singled off of Oregon's Robert McFadden and promptly stole second base. The next batter, San Diego veteran slugger Mario Montalbano, then doubled in Wilson off of Bend's Bradley Malone to put the SL on the scoreboard. After Boston SS Michael Caldwell grounded out and advanced 'Super Mario' to third base, Hawaii's Jacob Middleton, also in his first SIMBL All-Star Game, singled in Montalbano off of Toronto's Terry Brown to cut the SL deficit to 4-2. Bristol SP Cameron Matthews then got the San Diego's dangerous slugger DeShaun Mack to flyout to end the inning.

Knoxville's young fireball-throwing two-time All-Star Chris Ross and Rochester SP Tony Neal then sat down Bristol's Matt Kramer, Cleveland's Cal Roberts and Texas' Ricky Thompson in order in the top of the 8th to stage the improbable SL comeback in the bottom of the inning.

Dallas closer Juan Rivera, who holds the SIMBL single-season save record of 59 set in the 2021 season, allowed a lead-off single to Sacramento catcher Joe Gibbs. Westbury closer Andrew Walker, the former 2022 SL Middle Reliever Of The Year, then gave up a stunning 354-foot home run to Chicago's four-time All-Star second baseman Peter Turner to tie the game 4-4 in the bottom of the 8th inning with no outs.

After Sacramento's young reliever stud John Raynor allowed a lead-off walk to Dallas 3B Kevin Cox, he then struck out Toronto SS Michael Morgan and New York RF Gabriel Hernandez, last season's All-Star Game MVP. Rochester's Michael Holloway then struck out Cleveland C Eddie Byrant to end the top of the 9th inning.

In the bottom of the 9th, the SL managed to get San Diego's DeShaun Mack to second base after he singled off of Calgary's two-time UL Middle Reliever Of The Year Bob Detty to represent the winning run but Cleveland closer Steven Pflueger managed to get Chicago's Peter Turner to ground out to end the threat and force the second extra-inning game in SIMBL All-Star Game history.

Mack would come back into the events two innings later in memorable fashion.

In the top of the 10th inning, Asheville's flame-throwing reliever and former 2021 first round draft pick Angelino Castro blazed through the UL lineup by getting out a very dangerous trio of Colt McAlister, Tony Aguilar and Matt Kramer in order striking out McAlister and Kramer.

The UL's six-time All-Star Andrew Stephens of the Oregon Pioneers, the first SIMBL New File Era closer to achieve 300 career saves earlier this season, then returned the favor by striking out Knoxville DH Lionel Pendleton and getting seven-time SIMBL All-Star Tampa Bay 3B Chance Bailey to ground out before Toronto's former 2024 UL Middle Reliever Of The Year Larry Hamilton got Hollywood's Jamal Wilson to fly out to quickly end the bottom of the 10th inning.

In the top of the 11th, Chicago's 2024 SL Middle Reliever Of The Year and four-time All-Star Ron Orr then pitched the inning allowing a single to Dallas young 3B Kevin Cox but left him stranded by getting out of the inning by getting Toronto SS Michael Morgan to ground out to end any threat.

Which setup one of the most memorable finishes in SIMBL All-Star Game history.

After getting San Diego's Mario Montalbano to ground out, Toronto's 2024 UL Middle Reliever Of The Year Larry Hamilton then allowed a single to Boston three-time All-Star SS Michael Caldwell, facing upcoming free agency and likely in his last season for the Revolution.

The UL then brought in New York reliever Francisco Leon, acquired earlier in the season in a trade with Hollywood. Leon got Hawaii's Jacob Middleton to fly out before 2024 SIMBL CS MVP DeShaun Mack came to the plate with Tampa Bay's Cobbs Field expecting another extra-inning.

Mack, the former #4 overall draft pick in the first round by the former Boston Patriots (now Westbury Cannons) in the 2019 SIMBL New File Era Inaugural Draft and current SIMBL New File Era career walks leader in his fifth career SIMBL All-Star Game, then blasted a Leon 2-0 pitch 357 feet over the left field wall for the stunning and dramatic walk-off win.

Chicago 2B Peter Turner, whose two-run blast in the bottom of the 7th inning started the SL comeback from a 4-0 hole, was named the 2026 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP. The four-time All-Star went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored, a single and the two-run homer.

All rested positional All-Stars played in the instant classic and all 24 SIMBL teams were represented.

"We're very impressed by (Tampa Bay Silverbacks GM) Tim Melican and the way he hosted this All-Star Game," stated SIMBL Commissioner Christian DeMarco.

"Tim, his Silverbacks and the city of Tampa hosted the three-day event impeccably and graciously and we were very impressed," DeMarco said. All SIMBL GMs were in attendance and participated in the annual and 22nd SIMBL Midsummer Classic.

SL HOLDS OFF UL COMEBACK IN 2025 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Union League's Comeback From 6-0 Deficit Comes Up One Run Short As Syndicate League Halts Two-Game Losing Streak In Series

New York's Gabriel Hernandez (above) started a UL comeback from a 6-0 deficit that came up one run shy with a two-out three-run home run and was named the MVP of the 2025 SIMBL All-Star Game.  The 27 year-old Enforcers right fielder went 2 for 2 with one run scored, a single, home run and three RBI.

The Syndicate League snapped a two-year losing streak and held off a ferious comback rally from the Union League winning the 2025 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game 7-6.  The SL now takes a 13-8 lead in the all-time series.

New York RF Gabriel Hernandez, in his second SIMBL All-Star Game, blasted a two-out three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to start the UL's comeback from a 6-0 deficit.  Hernandez ended up going 2-for-2 with a single and home run, one run and three RBI in being named MVP.

The SL pounded Cleveland starter Richard Dicks Jr. who started the game for the UL.  Dicks allowed six runs on six hits in three innings in an uncharacteristic performance by the current top-ranked ace in the SIMBL.

Sacramento CF Kendrick Templeton doubled in Rochester's Joe Buchanan to give the SL a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Teammate Logan Raynes then followed by grounding into a fielders choice double play scoring Las Vegas C Micah Irwin.  Irwin's teammate Victor Cruz then grounded into a fielders choice scoring Irwin to give the SL a 3-0 lead before the inning ended.

Chicago's Craig Byrd, who started for the SL, was in command holding the UL scoreless going 4.0 innings allowing only one hit.

With Dicks Jr. still pitching in the third inning, Knoxville's Joe Hayes singled to start the inning.  After a flyout by Hollywood's Ju-Won Shi, San Diego's on-base machine and SIMBL bases on balls leader DH DeShaun Mack walked.  Hayes, the SIMBL's current stolen bases leader, then stole third base before being singled home by Buchanan to give the SL a 4-0 lead.  Irwin immediately followed with a double to the wall scoring Buchanan. Buchanan ended up scoring on a Templeton sacrifice fly to give the SL a commanding 6-0 lead after three innings.

The 6-0 lead would hold until the bottom of the seventh inning when New York youngster Gabriel Hernandez hit a two-out three-run blast off of Asheville's Antonio Soto to close the UL's gap to 6-3.

The SL increased its lead to 7-3 in the top of the ninth inning when Knoxville' Chet Williams singled in his teammate Lionel Pendleton setting up one of the more interesting endings in SIMBL All-Star Game history.

The UL started it's last-inning comeback when Hernandez singled moving Westbury's Jonathan Lizotte to third base after Lizotte walked.  New York catcher Adam Wilson then drove in Lizotte on a ground out to make it 7-4.  Hernandez went to third on a flyout by Whitby's Terry Reese to give the SL two outs.

Bristol's Matt Kramer then singled in Hernandez off of Sacramento's young closer John Raynor to make it 7-5.

The UL wouldn't go down easy as Hollywood's Bartolo Vera walked Toronto's Ed Clement to load the bases.  The next batter, Westbury's James Mitchell, with Knoxville's David Butler pitching, then drove in Kramer to make it 7-6 with two outs and the 44,547 in Cleveland's Dawg Pound Park buzzing the ballpark.

The SL then brought in the SIMBL's top-ranked closer in San Diego's Willie Roger DeMarco.  DeMarco did his job by getting Calgary's Austin Belaska to ground into a fielders choice to end the threat and give the SL their first win in three years over their UL rivals.

This season's game marked only the second time in the first seven seasons of the SIMBL New File Era that the losing team didn't get held to one run or less.

Cleveland GM Jonathan Fitzgerald campaigned hard for the hosting privilidges and was awarded the game on an equal bid from Las Vegas GM Carl Hannah only because Las Vegas last hosted the game most recently.  The Hustlers hosted the game in 2015 while the Brownies, earlier in frachise history as the former Tacoma Rain, held the event in 2013.

All SIMBL GMs were in attendance and all were impressed by Fitzgerald's and his Brownies' hosting the event and three-day event in downtown Cleveland, Ohio where the game-time temperature was 69 degrees.

UL SHUTS DOWN SL 3-0 IN 2024 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Union League Hurlers Hold Syndicate League Bats To A SIMBL All-Star Game Record-Low Three Hits In First Shutout In SIMBL All-Star Game History

The 2024 SIMBL All-Stars take the annual traditional moment of silence to honor the memory of Nicolas Mabie, the late infant son of charter SIMBL GM and former Augusta Spartans (now Charlotte Landsharks) GM Steph Mabie, who the annual SIMBL Midsummer Classic has long been named in honor of.

Due to a re-SIM of a previous 7-4 Union League victory that was for nought due to a game crash, the UL again defeated the Syndicate League 3-0 in the 2024 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game hosted by Hawaii GM John McGuinness' Pineapples at their sold-out E Komo Mai Field in front of 44,559 SIMBL fans.

The victory is the second straight for the UL and cuts their all-time deficit against their SL rivals as the SL leads 12-8 in the past twenty SIMBL Midsummer Classics.  It is the first shutout in the SIMBL All-Star Game history of twenty games.  The low-scoring affair is also the sixth time out of the last seven contests that the losing team scored only one run or less. 

The UL pitching of Bristol's Oki Okada, Oregon's Darby Hendrickson, Cleveland's Ron Jackson, Cleveland's Manuel Ramirez, Westbury's Chet Fisher, Texas' Bill Webber, Whitby's Brian Woods, Cleveland's Jake Jackson, Dallas' Juan Rivera, Bristol's Ron Orr, Cleveland's Patrick Anderson, Bend's Marvin Baldwin and New York's Andrew Steele held the SL All-Stars to a SIMBL All-Star Game record-low of only three hits in the contest.

Okada, making his last UL start before being traded to the SL's Chicago Hitmen in a pre-All-Star Game trade, started in place of the tired Texas ace Richard Dicks Jr. and allowed only a hit in a scoreless three innings to earn the win.  Deer Lake's Glenn Murphy also started for the SL and threw three innings allowing three hits and two runs to earn the loss.

New York backstop Adam Wilson singled with one out in top of the third inning before Dallas' two-time SL Slugger Of The Year Tony Aguilar blasted a 394-foot home run to right field off of Murphy to give the UL a 2-0 lead.

Cleveland's Miguel Espinoza walked in the top of the fifth and Aguilar singled off of Hollywood's Bobby Bruno to move "Espy" to third base.  Calgary first baseman Colt McAlister then drove in Espinoza with a single to right field to give the UL the final 3-0 score as the SL never threatened in the game.  Deer Lake's Duane Fuller had the only extra-base hit off the game besides Aguilar's blast with a meaningless double in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Aguilar went 3-for-5 with a single, home run, a stolen base and scored a run to earn 2024 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP honors.

McAlister went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Dallas second baseman Paul Rose went 2-for-4 leading the UL's ten-hit attack.

All SIMBL teams were represented in the 20th annual SIMBL All-Star Game as all positional players and non-tired pitchers played in the game and all SIMBL GMs were in attendance and the SIMBL League office and SIMBL GMs were very impressed with the Pineapples' hosting of the annual SIMBL Midsummer Classic.

UL BESTS SL 3-1 IN LOW-SCORING 2023 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME IN BRISTOL

UL Pitchers Hold Big Bats Of SL In Check In Second-Lowest Scoring Game In SIMBL All-Star Game History

Bristol catcher Nicholas Hoover (above right) congratulates his Union League teammates after a 3-1 victory in the 2023 SIMBL Midsummer Classic in a sold-out house before the Owls' backstop's home crowd.  The UL halted a three-season losing streak to their SL rivals yet still trail the all-time series 12-7 in 19 overall SIMBL All-Star Games.

The Union League ended a three-season losing streak to the rival Syndicate League winning 3-1 in a low-scoring affair in the 19th annual Nicholas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game at Bristol's Park At Chippen Hills in Bristol, Connecticut.  The UL cuts the all-time series deficit to 12-7.

The UL tagged SL starter San Diego's Alberto Tovar for two runs on three hits in three innings to take a lead it would not give back and protected it with great All-Star quality pitching.

In the bottom of the first inning the UL's Alberto Delgado of Bend doubled off of Tovar. Calgary 1B Colt McAlister, the current SIMBL leader in RBI, promptly doubled the Bandits rightfielder home for a quick 1-0 UL lead.  After Dallas' Tony Aguilar struck out, Montreal DH DeShaun Mack drove in McAlister with a long single to give the UL a 2-0 lead before Tovar got out of the inning.

The score remained 2-0 until the bottom of the seventh inning when Calgary's Carlos Molina was walked by Hollywood ace Bobby Bruno.  Bristol catcher Nicholas Hoover delighted the hometown crowd with a single moving Molina to third base.  After striking out Calgary 3B Steve Waddell, the 2020 SL Hurler Of The Year gave up a double to young New York SS Pablo Young scoring Molina to give the UL a 3-0 lead and chasing Bruno out of the game in favor of Deer Lake's Glenn Murphy who got the SL out of the jam leaving two runners stranded.

Toronto MR Terry Brown allowed a solo home run to young Hawaii slugger Vincent Miller and a single to San Diego 1B Adrian Bryant before Calgary closer Barrett Jenkins got Hollywood SS Minoru Ine to ground out and struck out Rochester's Jimmy Reed for the save to end the game.

Texas ace Richard Dicks Jr. started for the UL in place of tired voted starter Calgary SP Craig Byrd.  All positional players played in the game.

In a losing cause, Hawaii's Vincent Miller was named this season's All-Star Game MVP by going 1 for 3 with one run scored, one home run and one RBI.

Calgary ace Vinny Corleone took the win for the UL and teammate closer Barrett Jenkins got the save.  San Diego ace Alberto Tovar, who has been hearing all of the major trade rumors going around the SIMBL about his services, took a rare loss.

Boston's Anthony Puffer, Las Vegas' Alan Alexander Anderson, Deer Lake's Glenn Murphy, Knoxville's Donovan Perry and Rochester's Cory Walton all pitched scoreless ball for the SL.  Texas' Richard Dicks Jr. and Calgary's Vinny Corleone pitched scoreless ball with three innings and two innings thrown respectively.  Calgary's Robert Swift and Barrett Jenkins, Montreal's Xavier Morales, Cleveland's Joey Morgan and Astoria's Joe Funk all hurled scoreless ball and earned a game hold.  Toronto's Terry Brown allowed one run but also earned a game hold as well for the UL.

This season's All-Star game was the fourth in the past five seasons in which the losing team has been held to one run and follows last season's 2-1 SL win as the second-lowest All-Star Game in SIMBL history.

The SIMBL Front Office and all SIMBL GMs were in attendance and praised the hosting efforts of Bristol GM Greg Checovetes whose Owls hosted the SIMBL Midsummer Classic for the first time in the franchise's nineteen seasons in Bristol.

SL CONTINUES MASTERY OF UL WITH WALK-OFF 2-1 WIN IN 2022 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Oregon Closer Stephens Walks Home Winning Run After Loading Bases In Bottom Of 9th

SL teammates meet Augusta's Chance Bailey at home plate (above) after four-time All-Star Oregon closer Andrew Stephens uncharacteristically loaded the bases and then walked in the winning run giving the SL a 2-1 walk-off win over the SL in the 2022 SIMBL All-Star Game in Sacramento.

The Syndicate League continued it's dominance over the Union League in a thrilling walk-off 2-1 victory in the 2022 SIMBL All-Star Game at Hooters Park Of Sacramento.

The SL increased it's all-time series lead to 12-6.

Augusta slugger Chance Bailey put the SL up 1-0 in the bottom of the 2nd inning with a solo home run off of Calgary's Craig Byrd.

The UL came back to tie the game in the top of the 4th inning when reigning UL MVP Dallas LF Tony Aguilar singled off of Augusta's Bradley Malone.  Oregon's newly-acquired 1B Ken Blaylock then doubled the speedy Aguilar home to make it 1-1 where the scored stayed until the bottom of the 9th inning.

UL pitchers Whitby's Carlos Aguilar, Montreal's Junior Johnson, Astoria's Aaron Vukevich, and Dallas' Juan Rivera and SL pitchers Rochester's Stan Pennington, Knoxville's Darrell Brown, Hawaii's Andrew Walker and Augusta's Rich Barnes held the opposition scoreless until the 9th inning.

Boston's Gregory Sheppard, leading the SIMBL in batting average, tripled off of Oregon uber-closer Andrew Stephens to start the bottom of the ninth inning.  The ever-dangerous Bailey was intentionally walked and then Stephens uncharacteristically gave up another walk to Boston catcher Eddie Bryant.

Hollywood 1B Layne Hamilton then bounced into a fielder's choice at home plate moving Bailey to third and Bryant to second and putting Hamilton at first.

With the sold-out crowd rocking in a SL ballpark, the four-time All-Star and former 2019 UL Fireman Of The Year Stephens walked Sacramento 1B Jack Keith on five pitches to send Bailey home and to give the SL the walk-off win.

The UL was held to just four hits while the SL was held to only five hits.

Augusta 3B Chance Bailey was named the 2022 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP with his solo home run going 1 for 4 with a walk and two runs scored including the game-winner.

Augusta's Rich Barnes was credited with the win while Oregon's Andrew Stephens was given the loss in the 18th annual SIMBL All-Star Game.

ASHEVILLE'S 'OLD RELIABLE' BRIGGS' BLAST LEADS SL TO 4-1 WIN OVER UL IN 2021 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME

Smokies 38 Year-Old First Baseman Proving He Still Has Plenty Of Gas Left In The Tank

SL teammates celebrate their 4-1 victory over the rival UL in the 2021 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game in Chicago, Illinois. The SL now has won 11 of the 17 past annual SIMBL Midsummer Classics.

Asheville's Willie Briggs (above) was named the 2021 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP by hitting a two-run shot off of Whitby closer Kelvin Wilson in the top of the sixth inning which proved to be the deciding factor in the SL's 4-1 win over the UL. The 38 year-old Briggs, who was drafted by Astoria in the 2019 SIMBL New File Era Inaugural Draft in the eighth round then traded to Sunnyvale, then back to Astoria then to San Diego in just his first two seasons before signing a three-year $66,210,000 free agent deal with Asheville last offseason, still carries elite 8/8/8/6/6 ratings heading towards his 39th birthday coming up on July 31, 2021.

The Syndicate League continue their mastery over their rival with a 4-1 win over the Union League in the 17th annual Nicolas Mabie Memorial All-Star Game hosted by GM John Bowden's Chicago Hitmen in their sold-out Wrigleyville Stadium.

Ageless Asheville first baseman Willie Briggs hit a game-deciding two-run home run off of Whitby closer Kelvin Wilson in the top of the sixth inning to break open a 2-1 SL lead earning the 38 year-old two time All-Star the 2021 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP Award.

The UL took the lead in the bottom of the second when Dallas's emerging superstar Tony Aguilar singled and promptly stole second base. After teammate Paul Rose struck out, New York's 37 year-old veteran Glenn Webb singled "Troop" in off of San Diego's Bobby Grimes, who made his SIMBL record-tying tenth All-Star Game appearance, for a 1-0 UL lead.

In the top of the third, the SL loaded the bases but failed to plate a run when Bristol SP Oki Okada got San Diego stud catcher Taki Taketo and Sunnyvale slugger Chance Bailey to fly out with the bases loaded to end the threat.

The SL loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning but Colchester 36 year-old SP Carlos Ramirez, who earned the win, struck out Dallas youngster Paul Rose to end the inning and threat.

In the top of the fourth, Bristol SP Oki Okada was laced for a 468-foot solo shot by San Diego 1B Frank "The Tank" Hodges to tie the game at 1-1.

In the top of the fifth, Calgary ace Vinny Corleone walked Las Vegas 2B Cal Roberts. After striking out Colchester's Michael Caldwell, Rochester's Julian Winfield singled then advanced to second on an error by Tacoma right fielder Derek Dixon. Boston SP Colby Campbell relieved Corleone and allowed San Diego's Taki Taketo to hit into a fielder's choice which scored Roberts to give the SL a 2-1 lead. Campbell then walked Sunnyvale's Chance Bailey and Knoxville's Jason Flynt back-to-back before Oregon SP Michael Gambino came in to strike out San Diego 1B Frank Hodges with the bases loaded.

In the top of the sixth, Whitby closer Kelvin Wilson walked San Diego CF Kent Harvey to start things off. Harvey, who set the SIMBL record with 106 stolen bases last season and is on pace to shatter that mark this season with 77 current swipes, promptly stole second on orders from SL manager Paul Ware. Up to the plate came one of the SIMBL's most unappreciated superstars in the old wily veteran Willie Briggs who drove a Wilson fastball 399 feet to give the SL a 4-1 lead that they would not relinquish.

The UL threatend in the bottom of the 7th when New York SS Jeff Myers, who became the first player in the New File Era to be voted to start at two seperate positions in the SIMBL's Midsummer Classic, singled and Bend rookie catcher Michael Ballard singled to put runners at first and second with no outs. Augusta's Matt Heath then came in to replace Los Angeles' struggling Andrew Walker and got Astoria's first-half UL MVP candidate Cesar Delgado to ground into a crucial double-play and then enticed Boston's dangerous DeShaun Mack to ground out as well to end the threat.

Asheville's young stud closer and former first round draft pick Dez Jordan, Los Angeles closer Manny Torres, Rochester closer Earl Long and San Diego's young star closer Wilie Roger DeMarco then slammed the door to preserve the SL's eleventh victory in 17 All-Star Games against their UL rivals. DeMarco earned the save while Knoxville's Nelson Hawke, San Diego's Alberto Tovar, Los Angeles' Andrew Walker, Augusta's Matt Heath, Asheville's Dez Jordan, Rochester's Earl Long and Los Angeles's Manny Torres all earned game holds for Colchester's Carlos Ramirez who took the win. Calgary's Vinny Corleone was handed the loss.

San Diego's Frank Hodges and Colchester's Michael Caldwell each struck out three times of the SL's staggering 15 total K's at the plate. The SL was limited to four strikeouts and had nine hits yet could only score one run.

SL BESTS UL 9-7 IN 2020 SIMBL ALL-STAR GAME SLUGFEST

Rochester Veteran Second Baseman Reese Named MVP In Wild High-Scoring Affair

The 2020 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game was another success this time in Asheville, North Carolina as GM Pete McGowan's Smokies hosted the 16th annual SIMBL extravaganza. Fans were treated to a free meet and greet autograph session as SIMBL stars such as Rochester rookie and future superstar Julian Winfield (above) signed for the SIMBL faithful before the game.

2020 SIMBL All-Stars meet on the field prior to the SL's 9-7 win in the 16th annual meeting of the two rival leagues in the SIMBL's yearly Midsummer Classic.

In a slugfest in Asheville's Blue Ridge Stadium, the Syndicate League got by the rival Union League 9-7 in the 2020 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game. The win increases the SL's series lead to 10-6 in sixteen past SIMBL All-Star Games.

This season's traditional LIVE SIM was handled by Calgary GM Christian DeMarco for the UL and Rochester GM Jamey Carter managing the SL.

Manhattan Beach SS Alberto Alvarez singled off of Bristol's UL starter Oki Okada and stole second base in the bottom of the first inning. Rochester 2B Scotty Reese promptly doubled him home for a 1-0 SL lead.

The UL retaliated in the top of the second when Hartford slugger Dustin Powers, making his first All-Star Game trip, tripled off of Los Angeles SL starter Robert Swift. Boston SS Jesse Horner then swatted at two-run homer to give the UL a 2-1 lead.

The SL wasted no time in the bottom of the second getting to Okada as Los Angeles OF Cliff Mills and Colchester rookie DH Leonard Williamson both singled. An Okada wild pitch scored Mills. DeMarco then pulled the SIMBL's third overall pick in the 2019 New File Era Inaugural for Bend's savvy veteran ace Antonio Santana.

Santana promptly gave up singles to Alvarez and Reese scoring Williamson. San Diego OF Kory Stone then doubled in Alvarez and Reese to give the SL a commanding 5-2 lead after two innings.

The UL brought in Calgary SP Javier Guzman who continued his stellar season by calming the storm and shutting down the SL rallying cries.

The top of the fourth inning saw more explosions as Powers reached first on an error and then Bend slugger Alberto Delgado was hit by a pitch by San Diego ace Rhett Forrester. Enter Calgary's Colt McAlister as a pinch-hitter who clobbered Forrester for a three-run blast as the UL quickly retook the lead 6-5.

Texas stud closer Dontrelle Jackson and Oregon star closer Andrew Stephens held down the fort for the UL in the bottom of the fourth inning and fifth inning respectively. Rochester SP Kelly Holbrook and Colchester veteran reliever Nathaniel Greene did the same for the SL in the top of the fifth inning and the top of the sixth inning as well.

Astoria ace closer Pat "The Butcher" Carver, in his second SIMBL All-Star Game, allowed a double to Williamson and an intentional walk order by DeMarco to the always dangerous Alvarez put runners on first and second with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. Enter Boston reliever Junior Johnson who allowed a three-run tater to Rochester wonderookie Julian Winfield to give the SL a 9-6 lead.

San Diego reliever Eric Kelley held down the UL in the top of the seventh before giving way to Knoxville reliever Trent Murphy who gave up a solo shot to Bristol slugger Hubie Graham in the top of the eighth inning to close the UL to a 9-7 deficit.

A trio of the SL's best relievers consisting of Augusta's Michael Steffens, Colchester's Miguel Rivera and Sunnyvale's Robert McFadden then secured the victory by shutting down the UL in the top of the ninth inning to give the SL home field advantage in this season's SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series.

Rochester veteran 2B Scotty Reese was named the 2020 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP by going 3 for 4 with two runs scored, a double, a single and two RBI.

Syndicate League Held To An All-Star Game Record-Low Of Three Hits In Rout

Toronto 2B Peyton Michaels (above) connects on a two-run blast off of Knoxville ace Vinny Corleone in the top of the fourth inning to give the UL a 4-1 lead in the 15th annual Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game. Michaels is enjoyed one of the biggest first halfs of a season in SIMBL history with 35 HR and 106 RBI at the break and is on pace to break SIMBL legend Daryl Ryles' 2008 marks of 69 HR and 172 RBI.

The Union League held the Syndicate League to a SIMBL All-Star Game record-low of three hits en route to a 6-1 win that was more of a rout than the score may indicate in the 15th annual Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game in Augusta, Georgia on July 9, 2019.

Voted starting pitchers Joey Morgan of Calgary and San Diego's Rhett Forrester did not start or pitch due to being tired. Bend's Antonio Santana started for the UL and San Diego's Alberto Tovar started for the SL.

The UL wasted no time in jumping over Tovar who took the loss. Calgary's 19 year-old leadoff man Matthew Brown led off the game with a double. After Oregon's Mario Montalbano flew out, Tovar hit Calgary's Colt McAlister with a pitch. Game MVP Peyton Michaels of Toronto then singled in Brown to give the UL a quick 1-0 lead. Dallas 3B Chance Bailey then doubled scoring McAlister but Michaels was thrown out at the plate to end the inning with a 2-0 UL lead.

The SL closed the gap to 2-1 in the bottom of the second when San Diego 2B Devin Corbin doubled home Sunnyvale 3B Scott Carter off of Santana.

The UL continued their rampage in the top of the fourth as Michaels belted a two-run shot of off Knoxville's Vinny Corleone to give the UL a 4-1 lead. The score remained the same until the top of the ninth as the SL seemed uninterested and overmatched in collecting a measly three hits in the game. Corbin's double was matched only by a harmless double by Los Angeles slugger Cliff Mills in the bottom of the first and a single by Manhattan Beach catcher Matthew Boggs.

The UL pitching of Santana, Hartford's Anibal Vargo, Jr., Bristol's Ashton Austin, New York closer Andrew Steele, Oregon reliever Luis Martinez, Toronto reliever Manny Silva, Hartford's Rolland Lefebvre, Toronto closer Milton Fleming, Astoria's Curtis Burke and Astoria's Pat Carver were masterful in allowing only the three hits while only walking two and striking out two. Vargo picked up the win while Steele, Martinez, Silva, Lefebvre, and Fleming picked up game holds.

Michaels, the heavy favorite for the 2019 UL season MVP if he continues his current play, went 2 for 2 with three RBI, a single, a home-run and one run scored. The Toronto second baseman is hitting .313 with 35 HR and 106 RBI in the first half. Michaels became the second player in SIMBL history, joining the legendary Daryl Ryles, to have at least 100 RBI at the All-Star break. He also is on pace to break Ryles' 2008 records of 69 HR and 172 RBI in a season.

Calgary Clippers GM Christian DeMarco managed the UL while Las Vegas Hustlers GM Carl Hannah managed the SL in a LIVE SIM that was held on the SIMBL Message Board.

The SL still leads the All-Star Game series 9-6 as the UL has now won two straight years.

Previously Unknown Patriot Makes Name With Historic All-Star Game Performance

Boston shortstop Andrew Kissel (above) makes SIMBL All-Star Game history with his second home run of the game, the first grand slam in SIMBL All-Star Game history and gives the Union League a 5-1 victory over the rival Syndicate League with one swing of the bat above. Kissel's historic performance earned him MVP honors in the 14th annual SIMBL All-Star Game in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The Union League defeated the Syndicate League 5-1 before a sellout crowd at Lowell's Yang Field in the 2018 Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game.

History was made as Boston shortstop Andrew Kissel, currently leading the SIMBL in batting and making his first SIMBL All-Star team, became the first player in SIMBL All-Star Game history to hit two home runs in a game and also became the first player to hit a grand slam in the SIMBL's Midsummer Classic. Kissel went three-for-four, scoring two runs and a SIMBL All-Star Game record five RBI's.

Ruston 2B Kuma Takahashi gave the SL a brief 1-0 lead with a solo home run off of Sacramento's UL starter Clay Wicks in the bottom of the third inning.

Kissel, who's blazing bat accounted for all of the UL's scoring, hit his first homer off of SIMBL legend Bobby Grimes of San Diego in the top of the sixth inning. Grimes, a seven-time SL Hurler Of The Year, played in his ninth All-Star Game, the second-most in SIMBL history behind his former teammate Daryl Ryles and Calgary's longtime catcher Adam Wells, who both have played in ten.

The game remained tied 1-1 until Kissel struck again in the top of the seventh. Oregon's former SL Middle Reliever Of The Year Eric Prange walked Bristol's Barry Grady who then promptly stole second base on orders from UL manager Christian DeMarco. Los Angeles catcher Jeffrey Silver moved Grady to third base with a groundout. SL manager Paul Ware, hoping to setup a double-play, then ordered an intentional walk to Manhattan Beach catcher David Denman putting runners at first and third.

Ware then went to the bullpen to bring in his former four-time SL Fireman Of The Year and six-time All-Star Bill Hyer. Hyer, the SIMBL's all-time leader in saves, was traded earlier this season to Lowell after previously spending his entire illustrious SIMBL career with San Diego. The usually unhittable Hyer threw three straight balls to Kissel, who then launched a 3-1 pitch 368 feet over the left-field wall to hit the first grand slam in SIMBL All-Star Game history and gave the UL a commanding 5-1 lead. Kissel, a little-known player in the SIMBL before a breakout season this year, hit his two homers off of two future first-ballot SIMBL Hall Of Famers.

Sacramento's Darrick Agosto, Bristol's Douglas Gonzales and Calgary's Lester Almaraz then held down the hatch in sealing the UL's sixth win in fourteen matchups with the rival SL in SIMBL All-Star Games. Kissel was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

San Diego's Aaron Rasch made his fourth straight start for the SL as did his teammate Pablo Figueroa, who played in his fifth consecutive All-Star Game. Las Vegas closer Frank Emery made the fifth All-Star Game appearance of his career. Calgary's Ray Barrot, who has resurrected his career with a MVP-worthy first half of 2018, made his sixth SIMBL All-Star team. Los Angeles first baseman Tommy King, Chicago third baseman R.J. Poole and Calgary first baseman Chris Cota all made their third trips to the game among several newcomers who were making their first or second SIMBL All-Star Game appearances.

The win closes the UL's gap in the history of the series, which the SL leads now 8-6, and also gives the Union League home field advantage in this season's SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series.

SL Wins Fifth Straight Over Rival UL; SL Gains Home Field Advantage In This Year's SIMBL Coveted Cup

Asheville closer Jeffrey Dempsey (above) breathes a sigh of relief and pumps his fist after hanging on to save the 13th annual SIMBL All-Star Game in Toronto. Dempsey almost blew a 4-0 lead before showing why he has been chosen to three consecutive All-Star teams as the SL beat the UL to go up 9-4 in their rivalry All-Star series.

Carolina rookie Henry Cheesman (above), the top overall pick of the 2016 SIMBL Draft, became the first rookie in SIMBL history to be named SIMBL All-Star Game MVP.

The Syndicate League continued it's mastery of the rival Union League holding for a 4-3 win in the 13th annual Nicolas Mabie Memorial SIMBL All-Star Game.

Carolina rookie Henry Cheesman, the first overall pick of last season's 2016 SIMBL Draft, is proving he is worthy of being selected there and was named the 2017 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP becoming the first rookie in SIMBL history to win the SIMBL All-Star Game MVP award. Cheesman went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored in the low scoring affair.

Due to voted starting pitchers Texas' Justin Bushman and San Diego's Bobby Grimes resting, Texas' Dennis Hunt and Chicago's Glenn Murphy took the mound first for their leagues. Murphy went two innings allowing no runs, two hits and striking out two. Hunt took the loss by going two innings allowing six hits and three runs.

The SL got to Hunt early as the first three batters, Oregon 1B Raphael Herrera, Carolina's Cheesman and San Diego C Aaron Rasch all singled to load the bases. Hunt escaped with allowing only one run by throwing a wild pitch scoring Cheesman and then got Las Vegas 3B Troy Baca, who made his fiftth consecutive All-Star Game appearance, to hit into an inning-ending double-play.

The SL started the second inning much like they did the first as Colchester stud 2B Duane Fuller and Ruston stud LF Jose Espinosa both singled to lead off. Las Vegas 1B and former SFA Tommy King then drove them both home with a long single with the speedy Espinosa beating the throw home to put the SL up 3-0 after two innings.

Baca made up for his early rally-ending double play as he singled in Cheesman after the Bearcats rookie sensation walked to put the SL in front 4-o after five innings.

The SL pitchers were superb, consisting of 2015 SL Fireman Of The Year Chicago's William Randazzo, Birmingham closer Alfredo Cardillo, San Diego's Bobby Grimes and Carlos Blanco, until the bottom of the eighth inning when Asheville closer Jeffrey Dempsey, making his third straight All-Star Game appearance, was shelled for three runs to close the UL within 4-3.

Calgary SS Kevin Yuko, making his second All-Star Game, singled to start the eighth inning. Fellow Clipper LF Ray Barrot walked. Boston stud C James Scherer, making his second straight All-Star team, then singled to load the bases. Fellow Patriot 1B Earnest Burkey, also making his second All-Star Game, then grounded out driving in Yuko to make it 4-1.

Yet another Boston Patriot, 2B Hernan Colombo, also making his second straight SIMBL All-Star Game, then singled in Barrot and Scherer to pull the UL within 4-3. Marin CF Gerald Pope continued the barrage of Dempsey by singling before the Smokies longtime closer struck out Toronto's Theodore Robertson to end the rally.

With the SL facing tired pitchers from earlier in the SIM, Dempsey was kept in for his third inning and returned to being one of the SIMBL's best firemen and retired the side in order to earn a white-knuckle save and gave the SL their ninth victory in thirteen overall SIMBL All-Star contests over the rival UL and more importantly, giving the SL the home field advantage in this season's SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series.

Some old-time familiar faces were missing from the All-Star Game this season as ten-time All-Stars Daryl Ryles of San Diego and Calgary's Adam Wells, Dalton's eight-time All-Star Glenn Knapp and seven-time All-Star Taitarou Haranobu seem to have their appearances ended as their careers drift off into the twilight as the SIMBL's next generation of stars take over the league file.

San Diego Hall Of Fame-bound SP Bobby Grimes makes his eighth All-Star Game while Oregon's quiet SS Richard Cummings makes his seventh All-Star team. Calgary slugger Ray Barrot and Las Vegas star Troy Baca make their fifth All-Star teams while Los Angeles stud SS Jose Arenas and Boston reliever David Kimbell makes their fourth All-Star teams.

Las Vegas 3B/1B Troy Baca makes the fifth straight All-Star Game of his career. The game was played before a sell-out crowd of 44,554 in Toronto's Barchetta Field as all SIMBL GMS and SIMBL League Office personel were in attendance and glowed about the Rush's hosting displays.

Ruston's Kerry Wins MVP Honors With Three-Run Blast In Bottom Of 8th To Pull SL Ahead To Stay

SL All-Star team members mob Ruston's Michael Kerry at home plate in the bottom of the eighth inning as his three-run blast off of Calgary's James McEntire put the SL ahead to stay after coming back from 6-0 and 7-1 deficits in the thrilling 2016 SIMBL All-Star Game in Portland.

SL teammates congratulate each other after surviving a white-knuckle bottom of the ninth as Moscow stud reliever Chiohiko Morie somehow escaped a bases loaded jam after already allowing a run. Morie went 3-1 on Boston's Earnest Burkey before the Patriots first baseman grounded out to end the game and to the sighs of the SL players.

Who's that southpaw? Love him or hate him, but the SIMBL's rising popularity brought even the Prez himself, President Barack Obama, a noted Chicago White Sox and Chicago Hitmen of the SIMBL fan, to throw out the first pitch of this season's SIMBL All-Star Game.

The Syndidate League continued it's dominance in SIMBL All-Star Games over the Union League with a 10-8 win in Portland in the 2016 SIMBL All-Star Game. The SL rebounded from 6-0 and 7-1 deficits with late-inning heroics led by the up and coming young players in the their conference.

Down 7-6 in the bottom of the eighth inning with one out, Ruston CF Michael Kerry blasted a three-run shot off of Calgary's James McEntire to send the sellout crowd of 44,830 into a frenzy.

After loading the bases and allowing Toronto's John Salters to score on a single by Los Angeles SS Jose Arenas, the reigning SL Middle Reliever Of The Year, Moscow's Chiohiko Morie, went 3-1 on Boston 1B Earnest Burkey. Morie then got Burkey to ground out to end the game with white knuckles.

Kerry also knocked in a run earlier in the contest and earned 2016 SIMBL All-Star Game MVP honors by going 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's and the game-winning shot.

Pocatello's Wilfredo Gonzales also had a bases-loaded triple in the bottom of the 7th that scored three runs to get the SL back in the ballgame after being down 6-0 and 7-1. The SL put up five runs in the inning to close the gap to 7-6 to set up Kerry's heroics.

Bend's Benjamin "B-Rod" Rodrigez went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI and Boston's Terrance "Thunderbird" Gwynn went 4 for 5 with a triple and scored once to lead the UL.

The SL jumped on UL starter Richard Hassel of San Diego knocking him for five runs on four hits in two innings and posted a 5-0 lead after the top of the first inning. Texas SP Robert Carson started for the UL and pitched two perfect innings.

In typical All-Star fashion, the game featured 17 pitchers and all of the selected All-Stars played.

New Portland GM Brian Violette hosted this year's Midsummer Classic and he didn't disappoint as the hosting garnered rave reviews by the SIMBL elite: it's GMS all at the contest and the SIMBL League Office representatives all glowed about how the game was prepared for and treated.

SIMBL Commissioner Christian DeMarco was at the contest and scowled and quickly left the stadium after the UL's ninth-inning rally to try to win a game they led for 8 innings fell short and gave no comment to the SIMBL media while SIMBL Vice-Commissioners Paul Ware and Jamey Carter partied into the night with their SL cohorts at the several after-hours parties arrange by Violtte for the SIMBL after the game.

The SL now holds a 8-4 alltime lead over the UL in their All-Star rivalry and the SL will hold home field advantage due to the win in this season's SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series.

Hartford's Ono Becomes First All-Star Game MVP From Losing Side

SL teammates celebrate their 5-4 extra-inning 2015 SIMBL All-Star Game over the UL after Chicago closer William Randazzo shut the door in the bottom of the 10th inning. The SL now holds a 7-4 advantage in SIMBL All-Star history and most importantly, gained the home field advantage for this year's SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series.

Hartford catcher Ronald Ono (above) gets his eyes checked after getting Las Vegas dust in them during the bottom of the seventh inning. Ono, now a five-time All-Star for the UL, became the first All-Star Game MVP from the losing team, going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI on a double and solo home run.

Once again the annual SIMBL All-Star Game was a smashing success as the 2015 SIMBL All-Stars meet SIMBL fans and press during All-Star weekend hosting this year with grandeur appeal by Las Vegas GM Chip Orton's Hustlers.

LAS VEGAS- The SL beat the UL 5-4 in the first SIMBL All-Star Game to go into extra-innings in the 11th annual SIMBL Midsummer's Classic.

Hartford catcher Ronald Ono, making his fifth All-Star appearance, went 2 for 3 with a double and home run and 3 RBI's in earning MVP honors in the game well-hosted by Las Vegas GM Chip Orton in the Hustlers' sold-out Biltmore Field.

The SL jumped out to the lead in the top of second as Chicago 3B R.J. Poole, playing in his first All-Star Game, doubled down the left field line off of UL starter Dalton's Dennis Hatfield, scoring San Diego 3B Daryl Ryles and Las Vegas 1B/3B Troy Baca. Portland 2B Duane Fuller, also making his first All-Star Game after being snubbed last season, then singled in Poole to make it 3-0.

The UL answered back in the bottom of the inning as New York DH/RF John Adams and Toronto SS Jonathan Lizotte both singled and Ono doubled them both in off of SL starter Birmingham's Pedro Ramirez to close the gap to 3-2.

In the bottom of the fifth, Calgary 1B Justin Honaker's solo blast off of Oregon's Marcus Dinges tied it at 3-3.

In the top of the 7th, San Diego SS Israel Moton singled and stole second base. PH Las Vegas 1B Tommy King grounded out moving Moton to third. Moton scored off of PH Birmingham's Paul Mielke's sacrifice fly to give the SL the lead again at 4-3.

MVP Ono answered back for the UL with a solo shot off of Pocatello's Michael Arnold in the bottom of the inning to tie it once again at 4-4. The SL had the bases loaded in the top of the 8th when Dalton closer Michael Harper slammed the door by striking out Birmingham CF James Randell and getting Moton to fly out.

The UL tried winning the game in a nail-biting bottom of the 9th as Calgary 3B Keith Smith doubled off of Asheville closer Jeffrey Dempsey and went to third base on teammate Adam Wells' ground out. Chicago closer William Randazzo then entered the game and struck out New York 1B John Stebbins to end the threat putting the game into extra-innings for the first time in SIMBL All-Star Game history.

In the top of the 10th, San Diego C Aaron Rasch singled to right field off of Toronto closer Jesse Hoskins. Las Vegas' Troy Baca then doubled to left-center scoring Rasch to give the SL the 5-4 lead.

Randazzo then saved the game after Hartford 2B Kenneth Downey singled, to give the SL their seventh All-Star win over the UL in eleven games, and most importantly, gave the SL the home field advantage in this season's SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series.

San Diego's Daryl Ryles and Calgary's Adam Wells made their unprecedented tenth All-Star Game appearances. San Diego ace Bobby Grimes made his seventh appearance. Grimes is third all-time tied with Taitarou Haranobu with seven All-Star Games. Glenn Knapp has made eight Midsummer Classics.

Portland's Former #2 Overall Pick Of '09 SIMBL Draft Casares Named MVP

The Syndicate League won it's second straight SIMBL All-Star Game over the Union League in what has been an ongoing rivalry between the two leagues that make up the SIMBL. After winning the first three All-Star Games between 2005-2007, the SL then lost three straight to the UL from 2008-2010. The SL now leads the series 6-4.

Portland 1B Alberto Casares, the former #2 overall pick of the 2009 SIMBL Draft, won MVP honors by going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Oregon's impeccable Pedro Ramirez took the win for the SL while UL starter Bend's Walter Lopez took the loss. Ramirez pitched three innings allowing three hits and no runs San Diego's Bill Hyer got the save. Calgary catcher Adam Wells, making his ninth All-Star Game appearance, went 3 for 3 in a losing cause for the UL.
