AC KANSAS CITY OUSTS TEXAS IN GAME SEVEN AGAIN, REPEAT AS SIMBL CHAMPIONS, WIN 2060 SIMBL COVETED CUP CHAMPIONSHIP
AKC Becomes The 8th SIMBL Champion To Defend Their Title In SIMBL History
AC Kansas City Center Fielder Terry Cardona Makes League History, Becomes 2nd Player To Win SLDS, SLCS & SIMBL CS Most Valuable Player Awards In Same Postseason
AC Kansas City reliever Carlos Santos is lifted up in the air by his battery mate Kenji Fujita as his teammates storm the mound after the last out in Game Seven of the 2060 SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series. For the second season in a row, AC Kansas City defeated the three-time defending Union League champion Texas Roadrunners in seven games to win the SIMBL CS. The snake-bit Roadrunners now join the 2034-2036 Chicago Hitmen to have advanced to three consecutive SIMBL title series only to lose all three.
AC Kansas City teammates celebrate after Game Seven of the 2060 SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series to win their second consecutive SIMBL championship. AC Kansas City is the eighth SIMBL champion to go back-to-back and defend their SIMBL title.
Longtime AC Kansas City megafan and SIMBL Hall Of Famer George Brett (above center) checks his pulse in another nail-biter Game Seven of the SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series. For the second consecutive season, AC Kansas City and Texas went the full seven games in the 2060 SIMBL CS. AC Kansas City won this year's Game Seven 8-6 on a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning by 2060 SIMBL CS MVP Terry Cardona. Last season, AC Kansas City won 7-6 again over Texas in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game Seven in the 2059 SIMBL CS, a series that was an instant classic, and is considered one of the very best SIMBL title series in the SIMBL's 56-season/16 real life-year history.
Texas 2060 SIMBL CS Game Seven starter Aaron Campos (above) reacts after giving up a two-run home run to AC Kansas City's Terry Cardona in the bottom of the sixth inning of a 6-6 tie which turned out to be the series and 2060 SIMBL championship-winning runs in AC Kansas City's 8-6 victory to win the SIMBL defending champions their second consecutive SIMBL Coveted Cup championship. Both titles went seven games against the three-time defending Union League Champion Texas Roadrunners.

For the second season in a row, the SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series was between defending SIMBL champion AC Kansas City and Texas.
For the second consecutive season the SIMBL title series went seven full games.
For the second consecutive season reigning SIMBL GM Of The Year and AC Kansas City GM James Walker defeated the three-time defending Union League champion Texas Roadrunners of GM Jeff Palin in a full seven-game series.
Texas becomes only the eighth defending SIMBL champion to win back-to-back SIMBL championships. The hard-luck Roadrunners now join the 2034-2036 Chicago Hitmen as the only teams in SIMBL history to lose three consecutive championship series. Texas lost the past three SIMBL title series all in seven games: 2058 to River City and 2059 and now 2060 to AC Kansas City.
AC Kansas City now joins the 2006 San Diego Warewolves, 2007 San Diego Warewolves, 2038 Toronto Rush, 2042 Calgary Clippers, 2043 Calgary Clippers, 2050 River City Rascals and the 2051 River City Rascals as the only champions in SIMBL history to defend their championships and win back-to-back SIMBL titles as it has been proven time and time again by the battle-tested GMs that make up the SIMBL that winning a championship in the league is hard enough let alone to win two SIMBL championship in a row.
AC Kansas City now will have a target on its back next season by SIMBL GMs as they will attempt to join the 2005-2007 San Diego Warewolves, the 2041-2043 Calgary Clippers and the 2049-2051 River City Rascals as the only SIMBL champions to 'three-peat' and win three consecutive SIMBL titles.
It was the first time in 23 years and only the third time in the SIMBL's 56-season history that the same two teams met in the SIMBL CS in a rematch from the previous season joining the 2037-2038 Toronto Rush-San Diego Warewolves series and the 2018-2019 Calgary Clippers and San Diego Warewolves series.
As they did last season, AC Kansas City and Texas went pitch-for-pitch in Game Seven. AC Kansas City took a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and Texas struck back with two runs in the top of the second and two more runs on 2057 UL MVP Jason Fuller's two-run blast to go up 4-2 in the top of the third inning.
AC Kansas City then erupted for four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and took a 6-4 lead on catcher Kenji Fujita's bases loaded double. Texas wouldn't go away and scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game 6-6.
Then in the bottom of the sixth inning the blistering AC Kansas City center fielder Terry Cardona struck again in historic form.
Cardona, who won the 2060 SLDS and 2060 SLCS MVP awards previously this postseason, blasted a two-run home run off of Texas starter Aaron Campos to put the defending SIMBL champions up 8-6 in their sold-out home White Hart Lane ballpark that put their fans in a frenzy.
The 25 year-old #18 overall pick of the 2054 SIMBL Draft who is a two-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner in his third season, joins Toronto's Pierce Ryan as the only players in the SIMBL's long 56-season history of both the First File Era (2005-2018) and the New File Era (2019-current) to win all three postseason Most Valuable Player Awards: the League Divisional Series, the League Championship Series and the Coveted Cup Championship Series, in the same postseason. Ryan went 4-0 with a blistering 1.24 ERA in six starts in longtime Toronto Rush GM Eric Savard's run in the 2038 postseason to becoming the second team in SIMBL history, and the first 31 seasons, to win back-to-back SIMBL championships.
AC Kansas City's two-time SL Middle Reliever Of The Year Glenn Wilcox and All-Star Carlos Santos then held the fort in the last three innings to give AC Kansas City the rare back-to-back SIMBL repeat championships.
Congratulations to AC Kansas City GM James Walker on his second SIMBL championship and the fourth in the franchise's 56-season history. The franchise has won SIMBL championships as the Manhattan Beach Seals in the 2020 season (on the November 1, 2011 real-life date), in the 2022 season as the Hollywood Bounty Hunters (on real-life date July 18, 2012) and now have repeated as the Athletic Club Kansas City franchise in 2059 and 2060 in their 15th season in Kansas City, Missouri after relocating from Austin, Texas (Dark Horses) prior to the 2046 season.
Congratulations to Texas GM Jeff Palin on his third consecutive Union League championship and on another great season.
And lastly, congratulations to all SIMBL GMs on another fun, competitive and exciting 56th season of history.
Whether winning of losing or on a championship-chasing window run or rebuilding to do the same, the league's 24 GMs that row the league's boat have repeatedly proven that they are among the very best online.
The league now will vote on the mandatory-needed annual end of the season 2060 SIMBL GM Awards which ballots will be released and announced shortly.
The official 2061 off-season SIM schedule then will be announced shortly as the ever-important offseason will begin and head the league towards its 57th season of play.
SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Romero and AC Kansas City
AC Kansas City started the SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Texas Roadrunners at White Hart Lane by a score of 5-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. AC Kansas City right-hander Manuel Romero threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball.
Julio Sanchez, who is a three-time All-Star, aided the AC Kansas City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 3 for 5 with 3 singles.
Romero told a AC Kansas City Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

Terry Cardona dealt the Roadrunners a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and AC Kansas City leading 1-0, Cardona, who finished 3rd in the SL in wins above replacement with 6.6 in 2060, hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring double.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Rivas said after the game.

Texas Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
Behind a bravura effort from starter Julian Escobar, the Texas Roadrunners topped AC Kansas City by the score of 4-2 today and got their first win in the 2060 SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series. Escobar threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the Roadrunners. The win narrows Texas's deficit to 2-1.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Luis Castillo barreled up a fastball from Matthew Harris. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Roadrunners in front, 3-2.
"It's a big deal," Escobar said of the win. "If we had gone to 0-3, we're pretty much out of it."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lone Star Ballpark in Houston.
Almost There: AC Kansas City On Cusp of SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series Triumph After 8-1 Win
AC Kansas City got a strong performance from pitcher Matthew Weber, who stymied the Texas offense en route to a 8-1 blowout win in Game 4 of the SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series today. The Roadrunners could never get a bead on the right-handed Weber, who threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball. AC Kansas City now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
AC Kansas City relied on the hitting of Jukebox Davis to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the AC Kansas City on top, 1-0. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Weber said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lone Star Ballpark in Houston.
Texas Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
Already down in the SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series, the Texas Roadrunners put on their best show, beating AC Kansas City by a final score of 5-3 today. Manuel Romero was special. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Texas now trails AC Kansas City 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Shane Adams came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing AC Kansas City pitcher Carlos Santos, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Texas on top, 5-3.
Adams called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 29th , 2060 at White Hart Lane in Kansas City.
Kazudu, Roadrunners Wallop AC Kansas City in Game 6 of SIMBL CS

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Kazudu hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Texas manager Jeff Palin. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at White Hart Lane in Kansas City.
AC Kansas City Beats Texas in SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series In Game Seven
It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For victorious AC Kansas City, that meant the SIM Baseball League SIMBL Coveted Cup Championship Series trophy.
AC Kansas City took a 8-6 victory over the Texas Roadrunners at White Hart Lane, winning their 4th championship and second consecutive SIMBL title after taking the series 4-3.
"We've got grit," said AC Kansas City center fielder Terry Cardona, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
