LANCE'S LISTS: SIMBL TEAM FINANCES GOING INTO 2061 FREE AGENCY
Rochester's soon-to-be 35 year-old ace Corey Hicks (above) is currently the SIMBL's highest-paid player as the league heads into 2061 free agency. The 10/7/10-rated 13-year veteran is currently also the only player in the league with a seasonal salary over $30,000,000. The 2051 SL Hurler Of The Year has a 178-133 career record with a career 3.33 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 2600 strikeouts for longtime Roosters GM Matt LaDuke who drafted the 6-time All-Star with the #4 overall pick of the 2044 SIMBL Draft. Hicks is in the last season of his current deal.

Hi again youngsters.
Lance Stanley reporting for the SIMBL.
With the 2061 offseason officially in session let's take a quick "Lance's Lists" look at the current finances, free agent and contract extension money available per team as teams look at divisional rivals and look to upgrade and improve in a lukewarm to decent free agency class this offseason.
As of the November 24, 2060 league date before the start of 2061 free agency, 29 players will make $20,000,000 or more this season in the SIMBL.
The SIMBL has long employed a specially designed beta tested signature 115/50% luxury tax system. As of the November 24, 2060 league date, current average player salary is $4,269,609 while the current average team payroll heading into the offseason is $110,099,215.
Because of higher salaries committed to players for this season and beyond, AC Kansas City, Calgary, Chicago, Miami, Montreal, Oregon, Rochester and Sacramento will not have any money this offseason to bid on any free agents.
Toronto, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Bend, Ann Arbor and Hawaii will have the most, all with over $60,000,000, to upgrade their teams this offseason with major league free agent talent. Sacramento, Bend, Cleveland, Toronto, Knoxville, Ann Arbor and Hawaii all have over $90,000,000 to extend their current players or to conserve for the future.
Twelve teams, half the league, have over $26,000,000 to spend this offseason on free agency upgrades as the league's annual offseason spending spree is set to begin.
